Cristina (Nina) Hansen is a 2003 alumna with a B.S. in Animal Sciences. She says: “I graduated veterinary school (also at UIUC) in 2007 and finished a PhD at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2015. In August 2020, I started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). I’ll be teaching veterinary physiology and clinical skills to first- and second-year veterinary students that are part of a 2+2 DVM degree program in conjunction with Colorado State University. I will also continue to do wildlife and sled dog research that was the focus of my postdoc at UAF.”
Matthew Rodriguez graduated in 1999 with majors in Mathematics and Physics. He funds a scholarship in the name of CHP faculty member E. Graham Evans, for one Mathematics major per year in the CHP. Jean He (2005 alumna, BUS Finance and ENG Computer Science) and Michael Munie (2004 alumnus, LAS Mathematics and Computer Science) met while students in CHP. They eventually married and had three daughters. They have created and sold a company, lived and worked in France, and now are settled in the Chicago area.
